My Precision Screwdriver endcap is spinning less than advertised or not at all. What should I do?Updated 5 months ago

You can troubleshoot this in the following ways:

  1. If the end cap is loosely attached, this will prevent spinning. Try tightening the end cap. To do so, use your fingernails to stabilize the end cap assembly and then twist the end cap clockwise until it cannot be tightened any further. If this does not work, try observing the same process but instead stabilize the end cap using a 10mm wrench or similar tool. You can refer to the latter half of this video for a visual guide.
  2. Try using a can of compressed air or a similar tool to continuously spin the end cap for a handful of minutes. This can help remove any debris that may be stuck inside the bearing and/or smooth out the guide for a better spin.
  3. If the problem persists, try removing the end cap and checking for any damage to the bearing. If present, please reply back to this email with an image of your bearing. It may qualify for a replacement in this situation.

If the problem persists after following these steps, contact customer support as you may have received a defective unit.

Please note that any spin times within the range of 20-60 seconds are considered to be within the expected tolerance. If you're otherwise satisfied with the product, these steps are optional and you may choose not to follow them without risk to the longevity of your product.
