My Precision Screwdriver endcap is spinning less than advertised or not at all. What should I do?Updated 16 days ago
You can troubleshoot this in the following ways:
- If the end cap is loosely attached, this will prevent spinning. Try removing and re-seating the end cap by following the steps in this video.
- With the end cap removed, visually inspect the internal bearing for any obvious signs of damage, such as being missing or corroded
- Try using a can of compressed air or a similar tool to continuously spin the end cap for a short time. This can help remove any debris that may be stuck inside the bearing and/or smooth out the guide for a better spin. If the problem persists, repeat this step with the end cap removed.
Please note that any spin times within the range of 20-60 seconds are considered to be within the expected tolerance. If you're otherwise satisfied with the product, these steps are optional and you may choose not to follow them without risk to the longevity of your product.
If the problem persists after following these steps, contact customer support as you may have received a defective unit.
